Kristyn Dunn’s practice is concentrated on energy, commercial real estate, and general business related issues. Prior to joining the firm, Kristyn was Vice President, Closing and Due Diligence at Heitman LLC, a real estate private equity firm in Chicago, Illinois where she handled industrial, multi-family, student housing, self-storage and other commercial real property transactions. Prior to her work at Heitman, Kristyn was Assistant General Counsel at Invenergy LLC, North America’s largest privately held renewable energy provider that specializes in developing, owning and operating wind, solar, thermal and energy storage facilities. As Assistant General Counsel for Invenergy LLC, Kristyn managed the company’s legal matters related to real estate, including, legal support to various renewable energy developments; due diligence and acquisition of land rights; and both financing and refinancing of various renewable energy projects. Additionally, Kristyn practiced at Chapman and Cutler LLP, where she advised clients on real estate-related issues in private equity, mezzanine and project finance transactions and represented property owners, real estate investors, and tenants in the acquisition, disposition, construction, and leasing of commercial real property.
Kristyn is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois. Kristyn received her Juris Doctor degree in 2010 from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 2005 from the University of Iowa.
